Overview

Wellington Waterfront is always made up of a mix of tourists, locals, bikers, and the famous Crocodile Bikes. To celebrate the wonderful wahine of New Zealand, Wellington Museum is hosting Suffragette City – Bicycle Bash in conjunction with Lucid Dream Bike and Bicycle Junction.

People of all ages and biking abilities are invited to meet outside Wellington Museum at 7pm on Saturday, 22 February. From there, the parade of bicycles will venture through the city at night. Secret locations and hidden history await as you learn and celebrate all the wonderful wahine of our capital.

There will be more to enjoy throughout the night with entertainment around every corner. Expect live music, visual artistry, poetry, refreshments and drama. The event runs in line with Wellington Museum's Suffrage in Stitches exhibition — a 300-metre-long work celebrating the people who made up the suffrage movement.
