Overview

This New Zealand Festival show is going to move you. Swan Lake/Loch Na heala has critics from The Guardian, The Financial Times and The Evening Standard awarding the piece five stars.

Ancient Irish mythology and the ills of the modern world collide in this groundbreaking new theatre work, that takes the beloved ballet classic and turns it on its head. Taking Tchaikovsky's original score, director Michael Keegan-Dolan swaps it for deep, Irish folk sounds, with a distinctive Nordic noir feel. You'll be transported to the Irish midlands, to the fog and dark paths. Will the light and resounding redemption prevail?
