Overview

Tom Spotswood is an insurance investigator who has lost his socks, his suitcase, his ex-wife and his son. Such is the premise for The Demolition of the Century, the latest work by author/performer Duncan Sarkies.

Having just played out at the New Zealand Festival, Auckland Writers Festival, Tauranga Arts Festival and Nelson Arts Festival, the humorous and sometimes heartbreaking look at families, memories and the fragility of the human mind, is coming to Wellington’s Circa Theatre. The Bay of Plenty Times called it “a fast-paced, darkly captivating cabaret-comedy, which leaves us fully entertained and tantalizingly close to solving a puzzle.”

Sarkies is also joined with musical accompaniment from Auckland songwriter musician Joe Blossom.
