Overview

Take Paranormal Activities, the runaway low budget cult hit horror film by Oren Peli, and set it in New Zealand. More specifically, set it in the era of the 1800s gold rush, in a small place in Otago called the Dunstan Creek goldfields.

What you'll have is theatrical performance The Dunstan Creek Haunting. Written and performed by David Ladderman and Lizzie Tollemache, The Dunstan Creek Haunting is a theatre show that isn't just creepy but actually based on real-life accounts of New Zealand hauntings.

Lizzie Tollemache and David Ladderman are actors and circus performers. Between the two of them, they have performed at the The Hobbit world premiere, the New Zealand Opera, the 2011 Rugby World Cup, the 2015 Cricket World Cup as well as at over 50 festivals across nine countries.

The Dunstan Creek Haunting has been praised for its excellent 'stagecraft and trickery', the story following you outside of the theatre doors. Invest in some tickets if you'd like to feel the kind of spine-chilling fear that might lead to sleep loss this Halloween.
