Overview

Ever wondered what the chat was like at The Last Supper?

Here's your chance to find out — participate in your own at Millers O'Brien Gallery during Wellington On a Plate. The gallery has teamed up with New Zealand-based Mexican artist Raul Ortega Ayala to recreate one of history's most depicted meal. This is a one-off chance to participate in an authentic exploration of the piece, a performative art interaction that will be filmed to become a piece in Ayala's first NZ solo exhibition, Food For Thought, which will open at the gallery the following Friday.

Ayala will prepare and serve a five-course meal accompanied by Galilean wine, and enact the rituals likely to have been practised by the 12 Apostles. Oh yeah, and there'll be an audience. A truly unique WOAP experience.
