Overview

Initially finding success online via word of mouth, Melbourne five-piece The Paper Kites soon became known for their ability to switch instruments at the drop of a hat. Their releases also have a tendency not to sit on a genre for too long, though all share the loosely connection of folk.

The band has released two EPs of 'loose folk', Woodland (2011) and Young North (2012), and one full length album States, released last year. Having spent a good chunk of their time touring the album through Australia and the US, they are now headed back to New Zealand for two shows.

Check out the band's latest single 'St Clarity'.
