Overview

European Christmas markets are something to behold, bringing whole communities together through the power of delicious hot grub and mulled wine. Thanks to the Polish Association in New Zealand, you'll be able to get a taste of European Christmas right in the heart of little old Newtown.

After its roaring success last year, the Wellington Polish Christmas Market is back for 2018, promising to be bigger and better than before. The Polish House (Dom Polski) and its immediate surrounds on Riddiford Street will be converted into a town square, providing the backdrop to a nine-hour bonanza of festive goodness.

Come along on Saturday, 17 November from 11am to 8pm to indulge in a wide range of activities. Authentic Polish cuisine? They've got you covered. Polish beers and mulled wine? You'll find that too. Add to that a live entertainment schedule bursting at the seams and an ever-growing range of stalls selling gifts, baked goods, sweets and more.

Carrying on the tradition of last year's market, gifts will be collected in conjunction with St Vincent de Paul to present to children in need.

Need more convincing? Didn't think so. Start your Christmas celebrations this year with some European flair.
