Winter Ales Trail
40 beers, five bars, one day.
Overview
It might be spring, but that doesn't mean you can't still wrap your hands around a tall, frosty and warming winter brew.
For its 11th year, the Winter Ales Festival has evolved into a self-guided celebration of great beers and good company. Held on Saturday, 12 September, the Winter Ales Trail will hit the streets of Wellington and hop between Fork and Brewer, LBQ, The Rogue & Vagabond, Hashigo Zake and Malthouse.
Around 40 breweries will be pouring the good stuff, including some new, limited and one-off releases. That means you could be knocking back a Belgian-style dubbel, a pale kettle sour ale, a sesame-infused red ale and what is being called the "best banana stout you've ever had."
