If you thought the 100+ Youtube views you got of grandpa falling down the stairs was good, think again. The numbers are in for the most viewed music clips on the video sharing site so far this year, and they collectively total more than 2.1 billion clicks. The Egyptian pharaoh-inspired music video for Katy Perry's single 'Dark Horse' tops the list of most played music videos from January to July. Since being uploaded on February 20, 2014, the video has racked up 503 million views, and it's fair share of controversy. It initially caused outrage due to a sign of Allah being burned to a crisp with sorcery. It has since been removed. Perry's video comes in a breezy 150-odd million views ahead of Shakira, who has two entries in the chart. Shakira claims both runner up positions with 'Can't Remember to Forget You' featuring Rihanna at 350 million plays and 'La La La (Brazil 2014)' featuring Carlinhos Brown at 270 million. The list also features two entries from Enrique Iglesias, the Official 2014 FIFA World Cup song, a song about selfies and that infectious Frozen theme. Here are 2014's Most Played Music Videos: 1.
