A die-hard fan of oat milk in your 9am coffee? It's now the base of your 5pm beer.

A die-hard fan of oat milk in your morning brew? We've got good news — it can now be the base of your evening bevvy of choice. Two of Aotearoa's best-loved drink brands have teamed up in a collab we didn't see coming — but we're all about it.
Launched today, the beer has a base of Boring's super-secret oat milk recipe, blended with barley, wheat, hops, yeast, water and even more oats. Described as a "breakfast beer" (sure) it promises notes of mango, apricot and a touch of coconut. So basically like a bowl of muesli. Just not quite as nutritionist-recommended.

Boring founder Morgan Maw says the collab came about from the "admiration" she has for Parrotdog, and wat they've created with their "legacy brand".
"Boring currently plays in the breakfast space, we exist in the first half of somebody's day. We wanted to explore how people could experience and enjoy the brand in ways that extended further than the breakfast table," she told Concrete Playground.
"We like beer and we like Parrotdog. It was a natural fit, and we can't wait for everyone to try it."
Of course, a new beer needs a sweet party to drink it at. The Boring and Parrotdog teams are throwing a series of celebrations with Dunedin-based band Soaked Oats providing extremely on-brand entertainment.
With free entry and a 'first in, first served' approach, no ticket is required for the pirates going down in both Auckland and Wellington this weekend. Aucklanders will want to head to Hollywood Avondale from 8pm on Friday, July 15 while Wellintonans should, of course, head to Parrotdog Bar from 8pm on Saturdayy, July 16. Yes, the new Oat Milk Hazies will be on the menu.
Boring and Parrotdog's new Oat Milk Hazy IPA will be available at supermarkets, liquor stores and the Parrotdog website from next week, following the official launch parties this weekend. For more information and updates, head to either the Boring or Parrotdog social pages.
