When chef Rick Stein was told he could choose anywhere in the world to go to write a travel article for English newspaper the Daily Mail, he chose Otago because he wanted to eat at Fleur's. Little wonder. Fleur's Place is a restaurant, cafe and bar right on the waterfront at the old Moeraki jetty, and its specialty is fish fresh from the Moeraki Bay fishing boats. You can also try local speciality, muttonbird. The menu is simple, showcasing whatever is fresh and available on the day with seasonal vegetables and matched local wines.
