If it’s the rare, the obscure and the downright curious you’re after, then look no further than the Ferret. This independently owned and operated Wellington jewel has been floating around since the '80s, selling, trading and sourcing second hand, and sometimes new, material for their store. But what is it that makes the Ferret so popular? We're guessing It could be due to care and attention given to the books sold, the genres stocked at the variety of volumes available. Or perhaps it's just the great name.
After a recent move just down from their long-term Cuba Street home, the Ferret has weaselled itself out of its hiding place, and is once again open for trading. Make sure to pop your head in, but be warned: once you’re in, it’s hard to leave empty handed.
