One thing shoppers from out of town frequently comment on is the proliferation of shoe shops in Wellington. Wellingtonians do a lot of walking, so it’s important to have good quality shoes. Or that's the excuse everyone uses, at least.

Ultra shoes offers a great range of fashion footwear, from statement fashion ‘it’ shoes, to timeless, dependable classics. Excellent if you need something for an event, or just because well, because shoes. With a consistently on point display window - especially during WOW (World of Wearable Arts) season, it’s pretty standard for at least one or two people to be standing on Manners Street with their noses glued to the window.

The sales people are always attentive and will help you sort through the multitude of options. They have a fantastic level of product knowledge that extends beyond 'that looks nice' to an explanation of product composition and suitability. Each week their Facebook page and website displays a shoe of the week.

As an independent store, you’ll often find shoes here that aren’t available anywhere else. Think of your shoes as an 'investment' and you won't feel so bad about the price tag.
