For over 45 years, this award-winning independent bookshop has offered fabulous, forward literature for those in the know. Perfectly situated to receive foot traffic from the many office workers and students of the city, Unity has a vast collection of books covering every topic imaginable. The though fully placed tables are piled high with books under genres such as ‘New Zealand Fiction’, ‘Cook Books’ and ‘Words’, to name a few.
Unity has long been an avid supporter of New Zealand authors, and indeed of all authors. Each week sees events, book launches and signing taking place, and they regularly host seminars and presentations during the week day lunch. Aside from the vast array of books, there are board games, stationary and greeting cards available for purchase.
