Overview

While most of us will never get the opportunity to visit the desolate, bone-chilling continent of Antarctica, while you were sleeping intends to generate a feeling as though you actually have. Take a sensory journey to see the majestic icebergs of Antarctica, projected as mind blowing visuals on the facade of the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

This free event has been curated by renowned visual artist Joseph Michael who created the masterpiece in collaboration with composer Rhian Sheehan. The duo aim to encourage people to deeply immerse themselves in the visual and audio fantasy through a soundscape of ice cracking, creaking and dripping, set to a cinematic score.

Imagine you're in freezing Antarctic temperatures while watching the sun set behind the museum. The spectacular 360º show which will run on a continuous loop over three days.
