Vans Custom Workshop
Got some old kicks in dire need of a facelift? Pop down to the Queen Street store to get them customised by the local artist, and pick up a free tote bag while you're at it.
Overview
Have you been feeling like your street style needs a lift? Stand out from the crowd with a new tote or pair of shoes customised by one of the city's hottest local artists.
Local artist Chippy Draws has developed a cult following for his cartoon characters — you might have spied his famous All Good oat milk fellas when you've been making your morning brew.
This weekend, in celebration of Earth Day, you can get a fit customised with cartoons from the artist himself, on either a brand new tote bag, some new kicks or any old Vans in your wardrobe you want to give a bit of a facelift.
From 11am-4pm on Saturday, April 23, Chippy is setting up shop in the new Vans store on Queen Street providing custom designs on stylish tote bags that can be taken away (free of charge!). Alternatively, in this age of reducing, reusing and recycling, you can bring in an old pair of Vans from home to be customised by Chippy instore.
And if you fancy yourself as a bit of an artist, you can have a go yourself in the creative in-store workshop, which is filled with brightly coloured markers and all the sewing tools you need to get that creativity soaring.
