Overview

New-age country crooner Marlon Williams hails from Canterbury songwriting hub Lyttelton. After forming country four-piece The Unfaithful Ways in high school, he joined forces with fellow alt-country songwriter Delaney Davidson for a three-album collaboration. The connection proved successful, and the pair have taken home countless Country Music Awards for their Sad But True album series.

Now based in Melbourne, Marlon accomplished the feat of releasing a debut solo album on April 24. Since its release, the self-titled LP has received a swathe of positive reviews from respected publications like Rolling Stone, The Age, The Australian, Stack Magazine, and New Zealand Herald. If you haven’t managed to pick up a copy or listen to it online yourself, Marlon will be celebrating the release by hosting a listening party at Auckland's Wine Cellar.

Those keen to see the whole package performed onstage in real life will have the opportunity when Marlon takes the stage for a nine-date tour of New Zealand and Australia with his band The Yarra Benders in July.
