Overview

Shining the spotlight on a part of Pacific Island community which has long been ignored, Puzzy is a ground breaking illumination of the plights of a Samoan lesbian (and Jehovah's witness) named Mele. Written by newcomer Kiana Rivera with help from Victor Roger (the acclaimed writer of the renowned play Black Faggot) there’s some serious talent behind the scenes here. So this play promises to induce riotous laughter and move you, with the tale of one woman's journey of coming out while seeking love and acceptance.

Playing in Auckland’s live theatre powerhouse The Basement for four nights, this is a one time opportunity to be moved to laugh and cry as this unique and fascinating story unfolds before your eyes. Featuring the live debut of Shortland Street's most well-known star Frankie Adams, and telling an utterly fascinating and moving tale, this is a local cultural event not to be missed.
