Overview

Despite all the fuss over Axl Rose's non-appearance at Guns n’ Roses induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in April, the one thing that was obvious to anyone who saw the ceremony was that when they read out the names of the band members, it was guitarist Slash who got the biggest cheer. And New Zealand rock fan's eardrums will be getting rocked this Friday at Vector Arena by Slash's new band, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.

Saul Hudson, better known as Slash, is easily one of the best electric guitar players to have walked the earth, and definitely rocks one of the coolest looks, (you can't beat his November Rain solo, ciggie hanging out of mouth in front of a deserted church). He has stood the test of time and will hopefully belt out a number of the Gunner's anthems, as well his other side project Velvet Revolver.
