Overview

Created for British travellers in government guesthouses along the dak (mail) route in the 1840s, Dak Bungalow is a hybrid Anglo-Indian cuisine rich in flavour and intrigue. Field and Green will recreate dishes and flavours of this time, with their take on meals such as masala omelette, mutton curry and caramel custard, alongside the most recognizable of dishes – kedgeree. Given the beautiful kedgeree they serve up as part of their existing menus, we have upmost faith in this duo and this highly unique WOAP event. The event is not ticketed, instead price is based on consumption.

Collaborating with Garage Project, Hardieboys, Bootleggers and the Ritual Tea Company, special matches familiar to travellers in British India will be served to complement the dishes.

Dak Bungalow is being held during the following times:

Friday 26 August, 10am–10pm
Saturday 27 August, 10am–10pm
Sunday 28 August, 10am–4pm
