Overview

Legendary UK punk rockers, Buzzcocks, return to New Zealand for what is set to be their biggest tour here yet, taking the band to four cities around the country.

Regarded as having an influence on various aspects of music including the Manchester music scene, the independent record label movement and the genres of punk rock, power pop and indie rock, the Buzzcocks achieved commerical success with singles that fused pop craftsmanship with rapid-fire punk energy.

If the name sounds familiar, to those who have not heard of the original band, the music trivia show currently showing on Prime on Monday nights originates from the fusion of the Buzzcocks name with the title of the Sex Pistols' album, Never Mind The Bollocks - to create, Never Mind The Buzzcocks. One of their songs, 'Why Can't I Touch It' has also previously featured on the popular TV series, Entourage.
