Overview

Collusion, a new event series which revolves around collaborative artist performances, will see its first instalment in May, pitting legendary hip-hop producers DJ Premier and Pete Rock against each other in a joint DJ set.

Lets make no bones about it, the two producers carry some of the most impressive resumes in the business. Initially beginning as one half of the hip hop duo GangStarr, DJ Premier (otherwise known as Preem, Premo, or Primo) soon established himself as the main man behind the New York rap sound of the ‘90s - producing Nas, Biggie, Jay-Z, as well as Mos Def, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, just to name a few.

Pete Rock rose to prominence as part of the New York duo Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth before going on to put his spin on classic beats by the likes of Rakim, Nas, Run DMC, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and more. He is widely recognized as one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time alongside DJ Premier.

The performance will feature both producers in collaboration and against one another.
