Overview

Stardome Observatory’s newest exhibition features full-dome high resolution projections, laser beams and lighting effects and surround-sound, to create a full sensory experience. The best bit - in addition to the complimentary wine and nibbles - is it’s all set to the soundtrack of Pink Floyd.

The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by the English progressive rock band. Themes of the album include conflict, greed, the passage of time, and mental illness. It is also rumoured to have been written as a soundtrack for the film The Wizard of Oz.

Considered a concept album, The Wall deals largely with themes of abandonment and personal isolation. It was first conceived when bassist Roger Waters's frustration with audience members became so acute that he imagined building a wall between the performers and audience. It was the band's eleventh release.

Both albums will play out in full during the Pink Floyd Music Double Feature.

The show includes courtyard telescope viewing (weather permitting).
