Overview

This post is sponsored by our partner, Jameson.

Pikachunes is the electro-pop moniker of Wellington-based producer Miles Loveless. He created the solo project after a skateboarding accident stopped him from following a path as a drummer and completing a Bachelor of Music. He has since released an EP and full length album of his trademark disco-driven indie-pop, spinning of singles 'Nervous', 'Just A Boy' and 'Cinnamon Pop Dream' .

Pikachunes is set to take the stage at Cassette Nine's weekly live music club night MUM. Rounding off the night will be Christchurch dance-shoegaze group Shocking Pinks performing a DJ set, as well as Art Heist, HEY FUNBOYS and a miscellaneous smanging of MUM DJs playing everything from the Home Improvement theme song to Caribou and Beyonce.
