Rolling out seventeen shows throughout their two month tour of Australia and New Zealand, Sydney trio, The Shake Up, will be performing at Cassette Nine this Friday. The 2010 release of their debut album ..If You Have No Shame was met with positive reviews and widespread airplay across Australia and saw them follow up with three national tours over 18 months. Cranking the garage rock aesthetic up to eleven, The Shake Up rock hard for a three-piece. They are raw and brimming with punk energy, rounded off with infectious choruses.
Spending the last year writing and recording their second album, The Shake Up are ready to meet their reputation once again for throwing down an A-grade tour of rock and roll meets punk meets indie. Their new album features a raft of brand new limited release material, working within their roots but dabbling with a fresh and inventive sound.
