Shepard Fairey and STRANGEco present Mr. Spray
STRANGEco, self-proclaimed 'purveyors of the peculiar', have recently launched Mr. Spray by none other than Shepard Fairey. This character was originally created by the artist in 2004 as a version of old advertising icons of the 1950s but is now available in a rotocast 11-inch vinyl figure with 4 points of articulation, packaged with an OBEY mini stencil and illustrated card box packaging. It's kitsch but cool and will certainly become a collectors item. Shepard is clearly a leader of the zeitgeist and his Obama 'Hope' poster will go down as one of the most enduring images of the century. Just think about what Warhol prints are worth today...
