The laughs will kick-off early next year as a brand new comedy festival lands in New Zealand. Presented by Comedy Central, Another Frickin' Festival will hit Auckland, Wellington and Queenstown next February, preceding the month-long International Comedy Festival.

The festival will get rolling with a gala showcase in Auckland at the ASB Theatre on February 8, where audiences will be treated to sets from ten local and international comedians.

Flying across international waters for the event will be master of the absurd, Paul Foot, who comes via British comedy panel show Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Ronny Chieng, a senior correspondent known for his "vexed, cranky, shouty, outraged" approach on US news satire, The Daily Show.

Further talent onboard includes Rose Matafeo with her unique blend of goofy narrative and insightful undertones, and Two Hearts, the music parody group of 2018 Billy T Award nominees Laura Daniels and Joseph Moore. See the full lineup below.

The festival will head to Queenstown venues from February 9-10 before wrapping up in Wellington at the Opera House on February 11. For more information and tickets, visit Comedy Central.
