Overview

Going to the movies has reached another level, thanks to Hot Tub Cinema's Kiwi Summer. Picture yourself surrounded by beautiful scenery in 40 degree water with the big screen, a bunch of your besties and waiters on hand. With movie-themed cocktails and a BBQ menu you can be assured of a luxury starlight cinema experience.

The only event of its kind in the world, the London's pop-up experience has created a buzz across the UK and Europe with 12 months of sell-out shows. In what we hope will be the first of many, Hot Tub Cinema heads down under for a multi-stop New Zealand tour for this coming summer.

As a small independent business, Hot Tub Cinema is seeking the support of 1000 like-minded Kiwis across the country to pledge their support in the form of advanced tickets purchase via the NZ crowd funding website PledgeMe. The funds will will be used to secure infrastructure and event locations for their first ever NZ tour. All pledgers can expect special treatment on show night, with first choice of screenings, plus the proud glow that comes from knowing you made it happen. Advanced tickets are $50, available online here.

The alfresco screenings will take place at five locations around the country, with five nights at each destination. Film titles are yet to be confirmed but Hot Tub Cinema opts for the much loved classics, like Anchorman, Top Gun and Back to the Future. You'll be pleased to know singing and dancing is encouraged.
