Overview
New Zealand's stacked summer concert schedule is filling up fast, and we've got a new one to add to your list — the full lineup for Golden Lights has just been announced.
Returning to Auckland for its second year, the 2023 Golden Lights festival will be headlined by UK London-based grime-pop emcee and Mercury Prize winner, Dizzee Rascal. Also joining the 'Bonkers' and 'Dance wiv Me' rapper is Australian dance producer Alison Wonderland, US electronic producer Jauz, a DJ set from Dimension and more.
And good news for those who'll be in the South Island for the festive season — the one-day festival is extending to Christchurch this year, taking place at QEII park in New Brighton on Friday, January 6. It'll then travel up the country for the Auckland show at Trusts Arena in Henderson on Saturday, January 7.
With over eight hours of music across two stages, the lineup includes beats from K Mtionz, Georgie Riot, Sammy Virji and TS7, and local acts from Auckland and Christchurch.
Along with Spring City and Laneway in Auckland, Gold Rush in Waihi, and Summer Haze in Tauranga and Matakana, it's another for the diary — check out our list of the best festivals to hit this summer here.
