Overview
The glorious urban music festival that represents the beacon of Auckland's summer will need to find a new setting for its well-curated beats or face extinction after getting booted out of Silo Park.
The eviction came after Wynyard Quarter announced some big-time developments in the precinct. The Herald took the time to report that the new site could be the Auckland Domain, but without any actual confirmation from either the festival organisers or the Auckland Domain or any real facts that would indicate a probability worthy of the word count.
Having no other source of information, Concrete Playground decided to consult a potentially more reliable source, the January festival's horoscope (as featured in the Herald) for some guidance or clues as to the new venue.
"Don't let impatience trip you up! Draw inspiration from birthday great Barack Obama 'If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress.'"
How very fitting for us media and for the organisers. But not very useful in helping figure out a new venue. We'll just have to sit back and wait with bated breath for the official new venue announcement, if it happens.
