The Playmaker
Let's play
  • It's Sunday
    What day is it?
  • Now
    What time is it?
  • Anywhere in Auckland
    Where are you?
  • What do you feel like?
    What do you feel like?
  • And what else?
    And what else?

The La Casa Artist Residency, presented by Corona Extra, has been serving up some creativity for some time now, hosting the likes of Temper Trap, Julia Stone, our very own Tiki Taane, as well as other artists, designers, and surfers. The idea is certainly gaining momentum and has attracted some of the world's creative talents, including most recently, New York's MS MR.

Having been on the road for a year and a half supporting their debut EP Candy Bar Creep Show and album Secondhand Rapture, New York indie-pop duo MS MR stopped by La Casa for some down time to soak in the pristine surroundings and to reflect on how the whole experience will translate into future recordings. “We want to stay true to ourselves and not be taken over by the whole thing. I think it’s easy to enter this alternate reality as a musician and you forget who you are as a person.”

Watch and enjoy.
