20,000 Days on Earth
Nick Cave's pseudo-documentary set over an imaginary 24-hour period of his life.
Overview
Australian-born music legend Nick Cave has collaborated with British filmmakers Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard to make a pseudo-documentary taking place over 24 hours of his 20,000th day of living.
The film seamlessly interweaves the man who is "beyond comparison, beyond genre, beyond dispute", according to the ARIA Awards committee chairman Ed St John, with his stratospheric persona. The film amalgamates various aspects of his life - his performances, personal rumination, Freudian psychological makeup and poetry into a frank and thrilling portrayal of the man.
