A Sol3 Mio Christmas
With a combination of operatic voices and Samoan humour, this show treats audiences to songs, stories and jokes.
Overview
Just in time for a summer celebration comes A Sol3 Mio Christmas, a festive, musical event featuring carols and a few old favourites from the operatic trio. Sol3 Mio is made up of two tenor brothers, Pene and Amitai Pati, and their cousin Moses Mackay bringing the baritone.
With a combination of operatic voices and Samoan humour, the show treats audiences to songs, stories and jokes. The Christmas special follows Sol3 Mio's trend of sharing stripped back, feel-good sounds to crowds around New Zealand — bridging the gap between traditional opera and contemporary musicality.
Following their Back to Basics tour earlier in 2019, all three Sol3 Mio members have been focusing on their solo careers, so rumour has it this is a rare opportunity to see the group sing together.
Tickets have sold out for the Saturday, 21 December show, but there are still limited seats available for the second night on Sunday, 22 December. VIP upgrades include soundcheck access and a photo opportunity.
