Viaduct Harbour institution Soul Bar & Bistro will celebrate the flamboyance of New Orleans as Nina Compton takes over the kitchen on Thursday 23 August.
The award-winning chef will present the best of her signature restaurants Compère Lapin and Bywater American Bistro (BABs) for the one-off collaboration. Showcasing the flair of New Orleans cuisine, Nina will use New Zealand produce to create a five-course family-style feast with matching Church Road wines and San Pellegrino water throughout. Featured on the preview menu are mouthwatering dishes like curried goat and sweet potato gnocchi, Caribbean seafood pepper pot, and buttermilk and chive biscuits with whipped bacon butter.
The $195 dinner includes a drink on arrival and canapés. It is a sharing style event, so bookings of two people will be seated with other diners.
