Overview

The earth's oceans are some of the few places that humans have yet to fully explore. This photographic exhibition explores the South Pacific and takes guests on a journey under New Zealand, and further afield.

Above & Below is a free event that showcases the work of marine photographers Julie Chandelier and Scott Sinton. Both have travelled extensively, near and far from New Zealand, resulting in incredible encounters. Inspired by their love for the ocean and marine life, the exhibition showcases their passion with a message for those visiting.

With water being the common thread, Julie and Scott's motivation is to be a voice for the ocean. Their hope is that New Zealand chooses to be a world leader when it comes to respecting and protecting its marine environment. The work displayed spans from the beautiful corals of the Pacific to glacial-fed rivers and more. Not only does it show the beauty of the ocean but also explores our connection to it.

A free event, the opening night is sponsored by Corona, Phoenix and Yealands. A 25 percent portion from all sales will go toward Sustainable Coastlines.
