Overview

Auckland Museum's last after-hours special was reserved for singles looking to find that special someone. This time, the spirit of Christmas will spread from the Grand Foyer to the dinosaur bones.

The Christmas Soirée presents two unique celebrations. If you like your festivities with a contemporary vibe, the South Atrium is the place to be. The space will be decked out with yuletide lighting and the new Tuitui Museum Bistro & Café will be open for sharing plates and beverages. Then, it's just a matter of dancing the night away to live band The Meteors and DJ Andy JV.

Those who prefer the nostalgic feeling of Christmas should make their way to the Grand Foyer. The Victorian-themed Christmas party comes straight from the pages of a Charles Dickens novel and will see the venue's towering columns adorned with twinkling lights. The setting comes complete with colourful characters, parlour games and classic sing-along tunes from resident piano player, Ludwig Treviranus.

Away from the activations guests can enjoy Museum collections after dark. Tickets include a complimentary tipple on arrival.
