And Friends

Forget about crawling home through Auckland's traffic this Tuesday night. Instead, make a few right turns and get yourself and some friends to Galatos for And Friends on December 19.

And Friends is a musical toast to friendship as well as "expression, ambition, inspiration and collaboration". It is a warm fuzzies-embedded friends-showcasing-friends gig which is all about "artists [being] excited about each other."

And Friends features some low-key heavy hitters and local artists to bookmark — i.e. Thomston (the Kiwi musical prodigy who's had millions of plays on Spotify), E^ST (lend your ears to her EP Get Money!), Balu Brigada (Tyler the Creator and Tame Impala-influenced hip hop made by three brothers and one best friend), Yukon Era (a post-punk band which regularly migrates between Auckland and Melbourne), Inside Voices (Tokyo-based DJ, broadcaster and social media influencer Tim Lambourne) and, well, friends.

Doors open 7.30pm. Bring a friend because "sometimes, life isn't as fun on your own."
