Art in the Park 2022
This art show will again exhibit more than 100 established and emerging New Zealand artists at Eden Park.
Overview
Weekend-long art extravaganza Art in the Park made its make its debut at Eden Park last year as part of Elemental AKL 2021 and this September will return for its second bigger and possibly better celebration. The art show exhibits more than 100 established and emerging New Zealand artists, championing Māori, Pacifika, and Pakeha voices from all corners of Aotearoa. Visitors will see original paintings, sculptures, photography and prints — and purchase any that really take their fancy. Included in the ticket price are complimentary highlight tours of Eden Park — perhaps a great way to drag along any plus ones who are more interested in the park's sports history over art.
Tickets to the glam opening night are $90 and include food and drink, the opportunity to meet the artists and access to works before anyone else over the long weekend. GA tickets for entry over the weekend cost$15 per head.
Art in the Park was developed by Sofija Matich and Cary Cochrane to offer a new platform for New Zealand artists. The event will be held in The Grand Hall overlooking the iconic Eden Park pitch from September 8 - 11.
