Overview

Buskers: from the tone deaf to the banal, when it comes to free street theatre it's usually a hit-and-miss kind of affair; with mostly just a lot of misses. You get what you pay for.

But not this time. Not at the 15th Annual Auckland International Buskers Festival. Running from Friday the 23rd to Monday the 26th of January, the Festival will be hosting a comedic contortionist, a Fabio-like juggler, a dude who casually pops an ollie while breathing/juggling fire at the same time and a biker busker who will do things with his bike that would leave any traffic cop leering.

Day shows start every day at 12 noon at Princes Wharf, Lower Queen Street, Queens Wharf, Eastern Viaduct and Karanga Plaza. Night Shows are on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm in Market Square, Viaduct Harbour. See here for a full location map and schedule.
