Overview

Born from a shared passion of all things sweet is a new luxury ice cream range from two of the country's top confectionary brands.

Known for its Kiwi classics including the Trumpet and Jelly Tip, it would seem the well-established manufacturer Tip Top has stretched further afield for its latest creation. Knocking on the door of the capital, Tip Top has teamed up with Wellington-based chocolatiers Whittaker's for the ultimate collab.

Ensuring the success of the new range is over 200 years of combined industry knowledge and track records that place both companies at the top of their game. No stranger to brand collaborations, we've come to know Whittaker's for its ever-popular limited-edition ranges and one-off products, including the 2014 Lewis Road Creamery collaboration which sent everyone chocolate milk crazy, chocolate butter, liqueur, and even a craft beer with Garage Project.

The latest decadent product with Tip Top's will be a permanent fixture. Starting Monday three delicious ice cream flavours are to be released, including vanilla and cashew praline, coffee and cacao and chocolate and pretzel.

Fortunately for us, we get to the first say. On 22 September a pop-up bar will be giving away 4000 of the new ice creams for free — from midday onwards head down to 21A Remuera Road for your complimentary treat.
