Overview

The Auckland waterfront will serve as the stage for some of the globe's most talented street performers as the Auckland International Buskers Festival returns this Auckland Anniversary Weekend. The open-air festival has been taking place in Auckland since 2001, attracting comedians, acrobats and freaks alike.

The lineup for this year's festival is nothing short of bonkers. Confirmed to appear are award-winning French/Australian street performance collective Surprise Effect with their interactive style of breakdancing and hip hop, and London-based hula hoop artist Satya Hoops. Ten extraordinary performers will come from far and wide with thrilling performances to entertain the Auckland crowds. The full lineup is still to come but you can expect an action-packed program of breakdancing, music, fire stunts and acrobatics.

Daily shows run from 12pm, or from 7.30pm in Market Square in the Viaduct Harbour. Further performances are scheduled between Wynyard Quarter, Viaduct Harbour, Princes Wharf and Queens Wharf and Lower Queen Plaza. Visit the festival website for the full program and venues.
