Overview

SkyCity is turning 20 and to celebrate they’re throwing a block party with a few of their friends. The Federal Street Summer Festival will be the block’s largest party to date – two days of music, activities, food and drink. With Federal Street blocked off from traffic, pedestrians rule and pop-up tents will sprawl across the footpath offering delectable bites from Federal Street’s cult restaurants and watering holes pouring the likes of Mumm Champagne and Emerson’s.

Federal Delicatessen, The Grill by Sean Connolly, MASU and Andy's Burgers among others will serve select specialty dishes - kingfish ceviche tacos, suckling pig fritter sliders, duck fat chips, steamed BBQ pork buns, cauliflower and Kikorangi Blue croquettes and pumpkin pie with maple and candied pecans to name just a few.

Entertaining the crowd is a lineup of talented Kiwi musicians, DJs and artists with P Money, Diggy & Laughton and Weird Together Soundsystem headlining the festival. In keeping with the family friendly vibe, the kids are well looked after on Saturday with balloon artists, face painters, bubble performers and cupcake decorating. To top it off, players from the SkyCity Breakers, SkyCity Mystics, Blues and Vodafone Warriors will be down on the street for meet and greets and autographs with young fans.

Check out the SKYCITY website for the full festival menu, entertainment lineup and timetable.
