Overview

Before there were late-night noodle markets and mass street food gatherings, there were the Auckland Night Markets. The free and mostly undercover markets have been running from Pakuranga to Henderson and everywhere in between for nine years now. Each has its own treasured food item — be it Pakuranga's blooming onion or Glenfield's dim sum — and features over 100 stalls of well-priced international snacks and delicacies, jewellery, electronics, you name it.

The Auckland Night Markets will once again return to the CBD this month. You can sniff out the new-look weekend gathering at the Fanshawe Street Wilson carpark this Saturday and Sunday from 5pm until 10pm. In line with the Ministry of Health's current COVID-19 Alert Level 2 guidelines, visitors will be required to sign in at the designated entry point for contact tracing. No more than 100 people can enter the market complex at any one time and there will be a one in, one policy.

Once inside, you can expect more than 40 stalls serving some of the tastiest street snacks in town, as well as all the usual suspects. Market-goers can browse menus and place orders through stalls via the dedicated Auckland Night Markets app (App Store and Google Play). You'll receive a notification when your order is complete.
