Overview

The Auckland Pride Festival is back, and this year it has been extended for an extra week. The festival programme is packed with a huge variety of activities and shows that celebrate the diversity and creative prowess of Auckland's Rainbow Community. Whether you are interested in fine art, comedy, cabaret, theatre, music or just good old partying, there's something of interest for everybody. The festival will kick off with a Waitangi Aroha Dawn Ceremony in the historical Okahu Bay, and wrap up with the Pacefika Pride Picnic at the same beautiful reserve, giving punters the chance to relax and nurse their post-Proud Party hangovers.

The hugely popular Pride Parade will make its procession down Ponsonby Road once again on February 21—probably the best people-watching event of the year. Check out the schedule on the Auckland Pride Festival website for the full range of events.
