Overview

It's Auckland Pride Festival's premiere black tie, dress-up occasion. It's also where you can experience a taster of what's to come in the festival.

The Auckland Pride Gala will be hosted by Alison Mau and directed by award-winning director, writer and actor Lexie Matheson. His aim in creating the theme Le Jeu de Méchant, The Wicked Game, is to bring a little bit of the magic of the cabaret scene in pre-war Europe to the event.

There will be guest performances from acclaimed circus-theatre company The Dust Palace, as well as the return of the erotic burlesque troupe, In Flagrante. Other acts include Charlotte Yates, Mika and Kita Mean, plus seductive excerpts from Songs For Guy, Queen by Sam Brooks and The Legacy Project.
