Overview
The Auckland Zinefest is your chance to get the latest local literature hot off the press, so to speak. Auckland Zinefest has a huge range of creative publications for sale covering diverse styles and themes from cutesy comics to grotesque graphics, pop culture to pure evil. With over 40 stallholders, this year's Zinefest is set to be a visual feast.
Now in it's fourth year, the Zinefest is a non-profit event dedicated to celebrating and promoting self-publishing and DIY in our local community. The event features talks, workshops and of course the zine market where you'll find all kinds of inky papery arty treasures for purchase straight from the makers.
It's business up top and party down below; following this year's Zinefest is a wee celebration at Whammy Bar and the Wine Cellar. Stick around for the Zinefest After Party where you can mix and mingle with all the talented zinesters, plus a bunch of local bands to get you in the mood. Free entry and the music starts at 9.
