Ben & Jerry's Easter Hunt 2021
The ice cream giant is giving away 50,000 free scoops across Australia and New Zealand.
Overview
Easter egg hunts might typically be restricted to the back garden, but this year ice cream giant Ben & Jerry's is staging its own virtual search to give away 50,000 free scoops across Australia and New Zealand. The global ice cream company has partnered with digital platform BlockV for the experience in the lead up to the holiday season.
After signing up to the platform, Kiwis can hunt down virtual eggs on their phone and then exchange them for chunk-filled frosty treats in-store. Then, all you need to do is decide whether it's going to be a scoop of strawberry cheesecake, choc chip cookie dough, English toffee crunch or triple caramel chunk.
Ben & Jerry's is hoping to break the Guinness World Record for the largest virtual Easter egg hunt by handing out 50,000 scoops. In New Zealand, 10,000 eggs — known as vatoms on BlockV — will be hidden close to scoop stores in Ponsonby, Mission Bay, Commercial Bay, Sylvia Park, Wellington Airport and Wellington CBD. Find them between Tuesday, March 16 and Tuesday, April 6.
