Well seriously, you couldn't really go past wine tasting to demonstrate your amazing levels of sophistication and class...or at least your willingness to be open to it.  Coincidentally, Big Picture Wine run a variety of wine-tasting sessions, from the beginner to the more advanced.

Either way you're in for a treat, and some decent wine.  Plus you get to tell your friends you know now the difference between a Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio, if in fast there is one at all.

Big Wine Picture will take you on a virtual 'tour' of New Zealand wine, selected by region, before moving to the Aroma Room where you'll put those nostrils to good use.  It's cheap, and you get to try plenty of wine.
