Overview

Sights, sounds, food, music — Brazil comes to Auckland this January with the sixth edition of the Brazilian Day Festival. Hitting Mt Albert's Rocket Park on January 25, the event showcases the best of the South American hotspot and gives attendees a taste of Brazilian culture and cuisine without having to leave New Zealand.

The day starts at 11am and ends at 7pm, giving you a full day of activities and sensory experiences. In the summer sun you can peruse stalls selling a range of Brazillian goods created by locals and artisans. There will be authentic food and drink to try, from sweets to savoury dishes.

In addition you'll encounter live music, dances, capoeira, forro, a carnival parade and even samba workshops to get you on your feet. Join in the dancing, feel the music and partake in the Brazillian way for a day. It's suitable for all ages.
