Overview

A união faz a força - our union makes us stronger. A great proverb to front the Brazilian Day Festival, woven into this long weekend's host events. On the last Saturday in January, Rocket Park in Mount Albert will be enthusiastically decorated with vibrant Brazilian culture for this year's festival.

Brazilian culture is a melting pot of food, colours, hot rhythms, samba dancing, soccer, coffee, uniquely crafted products and is one of the most diverse and varied cultures in the world. Special stalls, kid zones, Brazilian kids performance, workshops and live music is all being organised by the experts from both the Albert-Eden Local board and Brasileirinho NZ.

The vibrant atmosphere on the day will carry on into the night at the Brazilian Day after party, just a jump and shimmy up the road at the Kingslander and is hosted by the music of Ge Luz who is commonly referred to as the most talented Brazilian musician in New Zealand. DJs Lucas Datt, Crisco will follow up this gig and a small performance by AKSamba will also be an applauded item.

Family friendly, environmentally friendly and waste free the Brazilian Day Festival will be a colorful, relaxing and an inciting event that should find its permanent place among your chockablock list of events this summer.
